Arthur Nathaniel Booth, a burglary suspect who gained attention in 2015 for breaking down in tears in court after being recognized by a judge, is now back in jail. He was recently arrested for a string of crimes, including posing as a water inspector and plumber to steal from victims. Booth allegedly snatched jewelry and gold chains from victims, including an 85-year-old man who he tricked into opening his faucet before stealing his gold chain. Police believe Booth may be connected to other incidents and have charged him with robbery, burglary, home invasion, and robbery without a firearm or weapon. Despite the emotional courtroom moment in 2015 where Judge Mindy Glazer expressed sadness at Booth’s situation and offered words of encouragement, Booth has continued committing crimes. The judge hoped that he would be able to change his ways and lead a lawful life. Booth’s recent arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping repeat offenders behind bars. Attorney information for Booth was not available, and he remains in custody facing a slew of criminal charges.
