Pop star Taylor Swift made an appearance at her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game for the first time since Week 2. Swift, 34, has been dating Kelce, 35, since last year, and has previously been seen at Chiefs games in September of last season. Kelce had a solid performance in the game, contributing with nice catches for 70 yards as the Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints 26-13. Despite an interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes, played by Khalen Saunders who happens to be the brother of one of Swift’s backup dancers, Kelce had his breakout game in Week 4 against the Chargers, catching seven passes for 89 yards.
However, Kelce has not been playing up to his usual standard this season, averaging the fewest yards per reception and yards per game of his career through the first four games. Additionally, he has yet to score a touchdown this season. The Chiefs’ offense is missing key players such as last season’s leading rusher Isiah Pacheco, who is out with a broken fibula, and leading receiver Rashee Rice, who is likely out for the season. Despite these challenges, the Chiefs remain undefeated and could benefit from Kelce’s contributions in the upcoming games.
