Recruiters sweep Kyiv establishments to find unregistered Ukrainians for conscription.

Ukrainian military recruitment officers have intensified efforts to gather fresh recruits by conducting raids in various venues in the capital city of Kyiv. All men aged 25-60 are eligible for conscription, with those aged 18-60 not allowed to leave the country. Similar raids were reported in other cities like Kharkiv and Dnipro. The increased mobilisation comes amid ongoing conflicts, with the Russian army conducting air strikes on civilian infrastructure in Sumy, damaging residential areas and administrative buildings. Evacuations of residents from frontline areas have been ongoing, with almost 500 children and their families evacuated from Sumy due to security concerns. Additionally, three civilians, including a 12-year-old child, were injured in Zaporizhzhia by a Russian airstrike. The ongoing violence has prompted the evacuation of a total of 45,000 residents from Sumy as reported by Ukraine’s Interior Ministry. The attacks highlight the continued instability in the region, with both Ukrainian and Russian forces engaging in violent conflicts. The raids and air strikes underscore the pressing need for recruitment and the dire consequences of the ongoing tensions in Ukraine.
