Billionaire Elon Musk has increased his financial offer to registered swing state voters in Pennsylvania to sign a conservative-leaning petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms. Musk’s pro-Trump super PAC is now offering $100 for signing the petition and referring other voters to do the same, doubling the previous offer. The deadline to sign the petition is Monday, the same day that Pennsylvania voter registration closes.
Musk has been vocal in his support for former President Donald Trump, urging swing state voters to vote for him in the 2024 election, which he says will decide the fate of America and Western civilization. Despite initially vowing to stay apolitical, Musk has become increasingly supportive of conservative causes since taking over X, formerly Twitter. He has endorsed Trump, donated $75 million to his pro-Trump super PAC, and hosted town hall events in Pennsylvania in support of the candidate.
Musk’s America PAC has also paid for ads on Facebook and Instagram for voter registration in swing states, including collecting voter data and directing certain zip codes to an official registration website. Although there have been investigations into whether the website misled voters, no evidence of violating state campaign finance laws has been found.
Musk’s actions have sparked controversy and criticism, as he has used his platform on X to promote false and inflammatory claims on various topics. Despite this, he continues to support conservative causes and push for voter engagement in swing states like Pennsylvania.
