Breaking: Division of Elections releases raw data showing Begich as projected winner after ranked ballots counted

An analysis conducted by @cinyc9, a conservative account at X.com, predicts that Nick Begich will win the Alaska congressional race with 53% of the vote over Rep. Mary Peltola. The data was released by the Alaska Division of Elections, and Must Read Alaska filed a public records request to obtain the information. The analysis also revealed that Eric Hafner, a federal prisoner running as a Democrat, received 2,297 votes, with 833 exhausted and 9 eliminated for over-voting.

When John Wayne Howe was eliminated, Democrat strategist Jim Lottsfeldt’s $4 million campaign to convince conservative voters to only choose Howe over Begich backfired, with 4,263 votes going to waste. Begich received 3,414 of Howe’s second votes, while Peltola got 1,879. The analysis, which includes ranking results from Round 1-3, suggests that Begich will secure the 218th congressional representative seat and help maintain the Republican majority in the U.S. House.

This data provides an accurate representation of the votes in hand, with another set of ballots expected to be counted soon. Must Read Alaska’s previous assumptions about the election results appear to align with the actual numbers released by the Division of Elections on Monday. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
