Holland America Line has launched its 2026 Alaska cruisetour program, featuring land experiences in Denali National Park and Canada’s Yukon Territory.
HAL introduced 18 unique itineraries, including a new 13-day Alaska, Denali, and Yukon cruisetour. The options range from nine to 17 days, available from May to September, with all routes including a visit to Denali National Park and several days at sea aboard the ships Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Westerdam, or Zaandam.
Travelers can customize their itineraries, choosing whether to start with a cruise or an overland journey. Options also include extending their adventure to Yukon, with stops in destinations such as Whitehorse and Dawson City. The lodge adjacent to Denali National Park has been renamed Holland America Denali Lodge, previously known as McKinley Chalet.
Nieuw Amsterdam and Westerdam will provide itineraries between Vancouver and Anchorage or Fairbanks lasting from nine to 14 days. Each Denali cruisetour incorporates a seven-day Glacier Discovery cruise, complete with visits to Glacier Bay, Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, as well as College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier.
For guests keen on natural exploration, single one-day classic departures include a complimentary Denali Natural History Tour, where they can seek out Alaska’s ‘Big 5’ wildlife. Extended tours also feature the Tundra Wilderness Tour, venturing 43 miles into Denali National Park.
According to Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for HAL, the new tours allow guests to merge the luxury of cruising with the excitement of wilderness exploration. Holland America Line has been a key player in Alaska itineraries for over 75 years and uniquely offers access to the Yukon wilderness.
