From Kramer’s standout season to Saathoff’s softball skills, Warrior Watch heads North to Alaska.

Philomath High School is gearing up for the Clarke Cochran Christmas Classic in Ketchikan, Alaska, this weekend. The Warriors have a long history at the tournament, with the boys’ team winning the championship back in 2000. This year, the boys are facing tough competition as they work on rebuilding the team under head coach Blake Ecker.

The boys’ team will face Houston in their opening game on Friday, while the girls, who are currently the top-ranked team in Oregon’s Class 4A, will take on Haines. Both teams will have a chance to showcase their skills against Alaska teams that have just started their seasons.

Former Philomath High star athlete Sage Kramer is also making waves at Westmont College in California, averaging 15.3 points per game in her junior season. Kramer, who graduated from Philomath in 2022, has been a standout player for Westmont and continues to excel on the court.

Additionally, Kaili Saathoff, a 2021 Philomath High graduate, is making a name for herself at Linfield University. Saathoff has been a standout player for the Wildcats softball team, earning first-team all-conference and second-team All-American honors. She also excels academically, maintaining a 4.0 GPA as a double major in math and physics.

Fans can look forward to watching these talented athletes compete in upcoming games and tournaments, showcasing their skills both on the field and in the classroom. Stay tuned for updates on their performances throughout the season.
