On Christmas Day, Beyoncé performed music from her country album “Cowboy Carter” during the halftime show of the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game. Dressed in all white, she performed songs like “16 Carriages” and a cover of the Beatles’ “Blackbird” with surprise guest appearances from Shaboozey and Post Malone. The performance, which also included hits like “Jolene” and “Ya-Ya,” featured backup dancers and even her daughter, Blue Ivy. Beyoncé teased a potential upcoming event on Jan. 14 in an Instagram post. The halftime show was streamed on Netflix, which also featured Mariah Carey for a Christmas NFL doubleheader. “Cowboy Carter” debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 album chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to lead the country album list. The album received 11 Grammy nominations and Beyoncé was named the greatest pop star of the 21st century by Billboard. She also broke the record for the most certified titles for a female artist according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Beyoncé’s success and talent have been recognized for years, with her solo albums consistently reaching No. 1 on the Billboard charts since she left Destiny’s Child.
