The University of Alaska Anchorage ski team made a strong showing at the DU Invite in Copper Mountain, Colo. Ashleigh Alexander led the team with a 10th place finish in the giant slalom, with other team members also placing well. Head coach Sparky Anderson praised the team’s effort and resilience in challenging race conditions. Currently, the Seawolves are in fourth place in the team standings. Colorado took home both individual titles. The team will continue to compete in the freestyle sprints on Jan. 17th. Overall, the UAA ski team demonstrated their talent and determination in a competitive field, setting a positive tone for the rest of the season.
