In a game against Niagara on Friday, Alaska Anchorage suffered a 6-2 loss with Max Helgeson and Matt Johnson both contributing a goal and an assist. Niagara’s Jay Ahearn got the first goal of the game early in the first period, but Helgeson answered back to tie the game at 1-1. In the second period, Helgeson set up Johnson for a goal, but Niagara dominated with three goals, two on powerplays. Alaska Anchorage was unable to score on their power-play chances and Niagara finished with a 6-2 victory. Both teams will face each other again on Saturday at 3 pm. The game will be held in Niagara and fans can expect an intense rematch between the two teams.
