Megan Thee Stallion’s restraining order against Tory Lanez extended for 10 years, until 2030

Megan Thee Stallion has been granted a restraining order against imprisoned rapper Tory Lanez until early 2030. The restraining order was granted by a Los Angeles judge after Megan alleged that Lanez is harassing her from prison through surrogates. Lanez, who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan in the feet, denied the allegations through his attorney.

The restraining order was extended until January 9, 2030, after it was determined that Megan’s lawyers had met the burden of proof. Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence in December 2022.

Megan has accused Lanez of using third parties to harass her online and undermine her credibility. She testified during the trial that Lanez fired the gun at the back of her feet and shouted for her to dance as she walked away from an SUV leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s home.

Megan, a Grammy-winning artist known for hits like “Savage” and “WAP,” has seen her popularity soar since the incident. Lanez, who released mixtapes starting in 2009 and achieved success with major label albums, is appealing his conviction.
