Nanooks secure victory against Nighthawks with a 71-62 score, showcasing strong performance on the court.


The Alaska Nanooks emerged victorious with a 71-62 win over the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks, handing them their first GNAC loss of the season. Leading the way for Alaska were Chris Lee and Elyon Zevenbergen, who both scored 20 points. Isaiah Saams-Hoy contributed with 14 points and led the team in assists, steals, and blocks. The Nanooks shot 45.8% from the floor and 40.9% from three-point range while holding NNU to 34.4% shooting.

The game started with back-and-forth action, with the Nanooks coming out on top after a strong performance in the second half. Alaska went on a 9-0 run to take control of the game late in the second half, ultimately securing the win. They also led in various statistical categories including points off turnovers, points in the paint, and fastbreak points.
