New robotic 3D printer by RIC Technology prints up to 3 stories high

RIC Technology has introduced their latest and largest construction robotic 3D printer, RIC-PRIMUS, which is set to be showcased live at World of Concrete (WOC) 2025. This new model is capable of printing three-story structures up to 32 feet tall, significantly expanding upon the capabilities of its predecessor, RIC-M1 PRO. The company’s founder, Ziyou Xu, believes that RIC-PRIMUS represents a major advancement in the 3D construction industry, offering faster and more cost-effective solutions for both residential and commercial projects.

RIC Technology has already demonstrated the capabilities of its previous model by printing an 8,000-square-foot Walmart extension, with plans for an additional 200 projects using RIC’s robots set to begin construction in February 2025. The company is aiming to meet the growing demand for sustainable and efficient construction systems with their innovative robotic technology.

RIC-PRIMUS features a printing height of 32 feet, an 85.4-foot printing length, and a 36.1-foot printing width, allowing for the construction of three-story buildings and wall systems. The robot’s enhanced mobility and speed, combined with its ability to work with various materials, make it a versatile and efficient solution for large-scale construction projects.

At WOC 2025, RIC Technology will collaborate with partners to live-print structural wall segments using 3D material provided by Spec-Mix, giving attendees a firsthand look at the latest advancements in robotic construction technology. This event will showcase RIC’s commitment to innovation and precision in the concrete and masonry construction industries.
