A suspect armed with a gun and Molotov cocktails launched a targeted attack against a Tesla location in Las Vegas early Tuesday, spraying “resist,” firing three shots, and setting multiple cars on fire. This incident occurred at the Tesla Collision Center and involved damage to at least five vehicles, with two engulfed in flames. The suspect wore all black and utilized Molotov cocktails and a firearm in the attack, leaving behind the word “RESIST” spray-painted on the center’s doors.
Authorities confirmed that the attack was isolated, and there was no further threat to the general public. The FBI condemned the violent act and emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable and a federal crime. The incident is part of a wave of vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles and facilities, believed to be linked to Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and an adviser to President Donald Trump, who has been involved in efforts to reduce federal programs through his Department of Government Efficiency.
Law enforcement officials are actively pursuing the suspect and have issued a warning that those involved in such criminal activities will be found and prosecuted. The FBI is collaborating with local authorities to investigate the incident and ensure that those responsible face the consequences of their actions.
