Babysitter discovers man hiding under Kansas child’s bed after child’s claim of ‘monster’

Law enforcement identified the suspect as Martin Villalobos Jr., who had previously been ordered to stay away from the property under a protection from abuse order. After a brief pursuit, Villalobos was arrested and booked on multiple charges including aggravated kidnapping, burglary, and child endangerment. He is being held on $500,000 bond and it is unclear if he has retained a lawyer. The incident took place in the 2000 block of Patton Road, just outside the city of Great Bend. The babysitter’s quick actions and law enforcement’s response led to the capture of the suspect.
