MPSF Championships to be Hosted by UAA at AASC on Saturday

The Alaska Anchorage gymnastics team is gearing up for the 22nd annual Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship on Saturday, March 22 at the Avis Alaska Sports Complex in Anchorage, Alaska. The Seawolves will be competing against Sacramento State, defending champion Southern Utah, and UC Davis in the four-team competition. The team is aiming to upset their rivals and secure a championship title as they enter the postseason.

This will be only the second time that UAA has hosted the MPSF Championship, with the last time being in 2015. The team is looking to improve their record and make a strong showing in the competition. The Seawolves have a history in the championship, with their lone title coming in Colorado Springs in 2009.

The team has been performing well this season, with standout gymnasts like Montana Fairbairn and Hannah Boyd leading the charge. Fairbairn has been consistent in her routines, earning high scores on the floor and beam. Boyd, a freshman, has also been making a name for herself with impressive performances on vault, beam, and floor.

Overall, the Seawolves are looking to make a mark in the championship and continue their successful season. Fans can watch the competition live online and support the team as they aim for victory in the MPSF Championship.
