U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon issued a warning to entities allowing men to compete in women’s sports and use women’s facilities, announcing the formation of a joint Title IX Special Investigations Team (SIT) by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. This team aims to provide rapid resolution to Title IX cases regarding gender ideology in school programs, especially focusing on protecting female athletes. McMahon emphasized that the Trump Administration has prioritized enforcing Title IX to protect female students and athletes, with the new SIT ensuring faster and consistent investigations. Attorney General Pamela Bondi also stated that protecting women’s sports will be a key priority, using the full power of the law to remedy any violations of women’s civil rights. The partnership follows President Trump’s executive orders, Keeping Men out of Women’s Sports and Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism. Individuals can file complaints with the U.S. Department of Education and support the Alaska Watchman in taking action against the issue.
