Kenai Central’s AJ Hull, Nikiski’s Luke Johnson, and Nikiski’s Rachel Johnson have been selected as part of the 2025 Alaska High School Hall of Fame class, announced by the Alaska School Activities Association. The class includes a total of 12 inductees.
AJ Hull, a four-sport letterman and state champion, was recognized for his leadership, sportsmanship, and academic excellence throughout his high school career. He excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track and field, winning numerous accolades and championships. He continued his football career at Western Oregon University and remains active in the Kenai community as a mentor and basketball official.
Luke Johnson, who participated in football, wrestling, basketball, and track and field, achieved great success in each sport. He was undefeated in wrestling for three seasons and earned accolades in football and track and field. Johnson went on to play football at the University of Idaho and currently works as a civil engineer while raising a family with his wife, Rachel Johnson.
Rachel Johnson, a standout in soccer, volleyball, and basketball, was also honored for her achievements. She excelled in each sport, earning MVP titles and all-state honors. Johnson continued her soccer career in college, setting records and receiving academic commendations. She has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to community service.
The induction ceremony for the 2025 Alaska High School Hall of Fame will take place on Sunday, April 27, at the Special Olympics Alaska Jim Balamaci Training Center in Anchorage. Other inductees include standout athletes, educators, and coaches from various sports and disciplines.
