Siddhartha Aradhya, a senior at Rock Canyon High School in Douglas County, was recently awarded the CBS Colorado Future Leaders Award for his outstanding work in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Aradhya is involved in numerous projects, including creating CatchChat, a program to help law enforcement catch online predators. He has also developed a computer program to detect tainted water and is working on a drone to combat algae blooms in drinking water. In addition to his STEM work, Aradhya is passionate about financial literacy and founded a nonprofit called The More You Know to teach others about finances. Despite his busy schedule, Aradhya plans to continue working on these projects in college. The Future Leaders Award, which comes with a $1,000 prize and a profile on CBS News Colorado, is open for nominations until April 18, 2025. Aradhya’s impressive achievements and dedication to making a difference in his community make him a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
