The Caddo Parish Department of Animal Services and Mosquito Control will be offering free rabies shots and microchipping for pets of Caddo Parish residents. The event will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church. The shots will be given to dogs, cats, and ferrets on a first come, first serve basis, with one-year rabies vaccinations provided. Pet owners must be Caddo Parish residents to participate in this free offer. In addition to the vaccinations, there will be pet education handouts on low-cost spay/neuter services and mosquito and heartworm prevention.
