Royal Princess Sets Sail from Australia for 33-Night Repositioning Voyage to Alaska

The Royal Princess embarked on an exciting 33-night repositioning journey from Australia to Alaska earlier this month. Departing from Sydney on April 11, 2025, the vessel is set to visit various Pacific destinations before reaching Vancouver in mid-May.

Following its winter deployment in Australia, the cruise began with stops in New Zealand’s Tauranga and Auckland. As it continues westward, the Royal Princess will explore the South Pacific, making stops at Pago Pago, Moorea, and Papeete, where passengers can enjoy an overnight stay. A two-day stop in Honolulu is also highlighted before the ship heads to North America, with scheduled visits to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Victoria.

Upon arriving in Vancouver, the Royal Princess will launch its summer season in Alaska with an open-jaw cruise to Seattle. This five-night itinerary includes a stop in Ketchikan and offers a scenic cruise through Glacier Bay National Park, with additional short visits to Juneau and Skagway. Departing from Seattle every Saturday, the ship promises a memorable adventure aboard Princess’ “Inside Passage” itinerary.

Looking ahead, the Royal Princess is set to spend the winter cruising the Mexican Riviera, concluding its summer season in Alaska by late September. Beginning in October, the ship will offer seven-night cruises to popular destinations such as Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta, departing from Los Angeles. Moreover, select dates in October and March will feature the “Classic California Coast” itinerary, sailing roundtrip from LA with stops in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Ensenada, alongside two days at sea.
