The recent unveiling of the 2024 Hall of Fame entrants occurred on November 21 at RIBA’s prestigious venue in Central London. The evening featured a drinks reception, a three-course dinner, and an awards ceremony hosted by comedian Lucy Porter.
Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor of RTIH, reflected on the awards’ evolution during his opening speech. “Now in our sixth year, it’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come,” he stated. Initially launched as an online event during the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards have grown significantly, culminating in a sold-out celebration at the historic venue.
Thompson congratulated the finalists, noting that many submissions did not progress to the final stage, emphasizing the high bar for entry. “The event showcases a variety of exciting innovations, from checkout-free stores and automated supply chains to immersive experiences and green technology,” he remarked. The evening underscored the importance of transforming innovative technology into practical applications that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
