Public Rally to Address Caregiver Concerns in Alaska
A public rally is scheduled for next week on the steps of Alaska’s Capitol Building. The Alaska Caregivers Union is organizing the event for Thursday, May 8th, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM in downtown Juneau.
In anticipation of the rally, Fourth Street between Main Street and Seward Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the event. The rally seeks to raise awareness of critical issues facing caregivers across the state and highlight advocacy efforts aimed at improving their working conditions and overall support.
Caregivers play a vital role in the community, providing essential services and support to those in need. This event aims to unify their voices and call for attention to their concerns, which have often been overlooked.
Community members, families, and allies of caregivers are encouraged to attend and show solidarity.
