Alaska Anchorage Hockey Team Set for Inaugural United Collegiate Hockey Cup in 2026
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Alaska Anchorage hockey team is gearing up for a significant postseason opportunity in 2026, as they will be participating in the inaugural United Collegiate Hockey Cup at the Centene Community Ice Center in the St. Louis area from March 5-7, 2026. This highly anticipated tournament will feature UAA, their rival Alaska Fairbanks, Long Island, Stonehill, and host institution Lindenwood.
This five-team tournament includes a play-in game, ensuring that all participating teams play at least two matches during the three-day competition. “We are thrilled to bring this tournament to the St. Louis market,” said Jason Coomer, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at Lindenwood University. “This event not only provides a competitive platform for our student-athletes but also showcases the growth and quality of independent NCAA hockey programs on a national stage.”
