Troy, AL – The Troy-Pike Center for Technology (TPCT) celebrated the achievements of its graduating students at a recent job signing event, where 22 students were recognized for securing employment or pursuing further education after graduation. This event marks the third annual signing ceremony aimed at facilitating successful transitions into careers for the center’s graduates.
Among the notable signings, student Saniya Northington was awarded a full scholarship to the Troy School of Cosmetology, while Akierra Cornell committed to working with Dorsey Trailer. Additionally, students Michael Gabel and Logan Sullivan signed with Kimber, and a group of graduates, including Aaron Lumford and Kamareon Toney, joined Lockheed Martin.
The Alabama Army National Guard also welcomed several TPCT graduates, including Abigail Pollard and Madison Hawkins, recognizing their commitment to serve while building their careers.
TPCT Career Technical Director Jamie Rich emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “Our purpose is to make sure our kids are college or career-ready when they graduate.” She noted that while the center provides guidance, the students are the ones who put in the hard work to achieve their goals.
Complementing the signing ceremony, TPCT organized a career fair, bringing together students and local industries eager to find qualified employees. This initiative not only highlights the center’s commitment to student success but also strengthens the connections between education and the local workforce.
As graduation approaches, TPCT continues to pave the way for its students’ futures, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the world of work or further their education with confidence.
