Relay for Life Committee Supports CAM Booster Club’s Pink Out Night
In a dedicated effort to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, members of the Relay for Life Committee took the reins at the concession stand during the CAM Booster Club’s Pink Out Night. This event, designed to promote breast cancer awareness, drew a vibrant crowd eager to support the cause while enjoying the spirit of community.
The committee members, including Kristi Schmidtke, Rita Rhode, Chris Parks, Greta Parks, and Jodi Christoffersen, were on hand to serve delicious snacks and refreshing drinks to attendees. Their commitment to the Relay for Life mission was evident as they engaged with patrons, sharing stories and information about the importance of cancer awareness and research funding. Notably absent from the photo is fellow committee member Dawn Marnin, who also contributed to the event’s success.
Pink Out Night is a long-standing tradition within the CAM Booster Club, where community members don pink attire to symbolize their support for those affected by breast cancer. The evening features various activities, including games, raffles, and more, all aimed at fostering unity and support for a significant cause.
The funds raised through the concession stand and other activities during the event go directly to supporting cancer research initiatives and programs provided by the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life Committee’s involvement highlights the importance of community engagement in fighting cancer and the ongoing need for support and awareness.
As the evening concluded, the event served as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when communities come together for a common goal. The success of Pink Out Night underscores the impact collective efforts have in the ongoing battle against cancer.
