Assiniboine College invites aspiring technology professionals to explore exciting educational opportunities during its upcoming ‘Spend a Day – Technology Edition’ on May 13.
This special event, a revamped version of the college’s popular Spend a Day program, aims to provide participants with an immersive experience in various technology-focused career paths. "Spend a Day is all about giving students a glimpse into what their future could look like," said Jana Sproule, Chair of Media and Office Technology programs. She emphasized the importance of hands-on learning, stating it allows prospective students to engage directly with technology and envision themselves in rewarding careers.
The program highlights the broad dimensions of technology across different sectors, addressing the growing demand for skilled tech professionals in Manitoba and beyond. Chris Budiwski, Chair of the Edwards School of Agriculture & Environment, noted, "This event is a great opportunity for future students to explore their interests and see how Assiniboine can support their career aspirations."
Participants will engage in various program areas that align with current industry needs, including Mechatronics, Digital Agriculture Technology, Media & Communications, Web Development, Digital Art & Design, Civil Technology, and Network Administration Technology. Each participant will have the chance to test-drive a program of their choice, ensuring an interactive and enlightening experience.
