Speaking from the ACC Spring Meetings, Belichick clarified, “That’s really off to the side… it’s a personal relationship and she doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football.” Known for his coaching legacy with the New England Patriots, where he led the team to six Super Bowl wins, Belichick joined UNC in December 2024 after parting ways with the Patriots.
The couple’s relationship gained public attention when they attended the American Museum of Natural History Gala together, prompting discussions due to their significant age gap. These conversations intensified when Hudson, during an appearance on “CBS Mornings,” sidestepped questions about their meeting, prompting speculation about her involvement in his professional life. In response, Belichick revealed that they originally met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021, stating that they have nothing to hide concerning their relationship.
Despite reports suggesting Hudson is actively involved in Belichick’s role at UNC, including program negotiations with NFL Films for a documentary, the coach dismissed these claims. When asked if he communicated with his team regarding off-field matters, he affirmed that he prioritizes the players’ development and well-being, emphasizing, “We want to make the players the best they can be.” Belichick underscored his commitment to providing the best opportunities for his players, focusing on their success both on and off the field.
