Anchorage Sees Warmest Day of the Year
ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – Anchorage experienced its warmest temperature of the year on Saturday, hitting a high of 63°. Fairbanks reported similar conditions, with some valley areas reaching as high as 66°.

Sunday’s forecast mirrors Saturday’s, with Southcentral likely to see morning clouds giving way to afternoon sunshine. Expect highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. However, there is an isolated chance of thunderstorms developing in the afternoon, particularly near the mountains. Residents are reminded that when thunder roars, it’s best to head indoors, as these storms might bring lightning and heavy rain.
