Paresh Rawal Quits Hera Pheri 3: A Look at the Icon’s Wealth and Legacy
Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, renowned for his acclaimed role as Baburao in the celebrated comedy franchise Hera Pheri, recently garnered attention by stepping away from Hera Pheri 3, leaving fans and producers alike in shock. His exit has sparked disappointment, particularly among fans, as he returned his signing amount of Rs 11 lakh, plus interest and additional goodwill to the production team. Akshay Kumar, a producer of the film, has reportedly filed a Rs 25 crore lawsuit against Rawal, claiming financial and scheduling disruptions.
Despite this controversy, Rawal’s stature in the film industry remains unblemished, with an estimated net worth of Rs 198 crore. His substantial income is derived from various channels, including films, brand endorsements, theatre productions, and real estate investments. Reports indicate that he earns over Rs 1 crore each month, alongside Rs 30 to 35 lakhs from endorsements.
Rawal resides in an opulent, sea-facing residence in Juhu, Mumbai, valued at approximately Rs 35 crore. He also owns numerous properties in Ahmedabad, enhancing his standing among Bollywood’s wealthiest veterans.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Paresh Rawal married actress Swaroop Sampat in 1987, and they have two sons, one of whom, Aditya, is following in his father’s footsteps in acting.
Starting his career with the film Arjun in 1985, Rawal became a household name with the 2000 release of Hera Pheri. His transition from villainous roles to comedic acclaim has defined his career, earning him multiple accolades including the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian.
Recently appointed Chairman of the National School of Drama, he continues to contribute significantly to theatre and cinema. As fans look forward to his upcoming projects, including Welcome to the Jungle and Bhooth Bangla, his departure from Hera Pheri 3 is a bittersweet moment, reminding us of his enduring impact on Indian cinema.
