TikTok Star Who Chronicled Her Fight Against Stage 4 Brain Cancer Passes Away at 19

Anna Grace Phelan, a 19-year-old TikTok star known for sharing her battle with brain cancer, passed away on Friday. Her family announced her death through her TikTok account, expressing their deep sadness and faith in her journey, stating, “our beautiful daughter… went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Originally from Jefferson, Georgia, Phelan amassed over 100,000 followers who closely followed her health updates.

Diagnosed with an inoperable stage four malignant brain tumor just before starting college, Phelan first shared her journey on TikTok in August 2023 after experiencing symptoms that included numbness. An MRI confirmed her diagnosis of stage four glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. In her updates, she openly expressed the challenges of her diagnosis but maintained a focus on faith and hope, stating, “This is definitely the hardest news I’ve ever received… I’m just going to trust in the Lord and try to keep pushing forward.”

Following her diagnosis, Anna continued to document her experiences with treatment, even as her condition worsened. By May, she revealed that her tumor had grown, making surgery impossible, but she remained resilient, asserting her desire to continue fighting.

Professionally, she worked as a receptionist at Georgia Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Dermatology. She is survived by her parents and brother. A funeral service is scheduled at Galilee Christian Church, where she was a member. Her family expressed gratitude for the support and prayers they received during her illness, highlighting her inspiring testimony of faith through adversity.
